The weather this year was gloriously sunny. Good news if you are watching, not so good if you are running. Apparently the hottest ever day the Marathon has run on. Unfortunately 1 person died because of the heat (strangely enough he died because he had drunk too much water). Apart from that one downer it was a great day to be out and about watching other people running themselves in to the ground.

First passed were the professionals. Where we were standing was the 19 mile mark and it took the pro's a little over an hour to get here! |

Then came the para-racers! |
And then came the fun racers, with the majority of them raising money for charities. |

Above all though the day is a great day out for spectators. |
