Every year Kohanga here in London holds a hangi at Clandon House in Kent. So there we are, digging a hole in the ground at 5am in the morning! This year, though, dawned wet and overcast! |

Kaia, Coby and Henry staying warm near the fire. |
This year Clandon House has a new head gardener. He endeared himself by bringing the tractor to help fill over the hangi pit once the kai had gone down and again at the end of the day when filling the pit in! |

 |
Whanau shot. This years pit boss was Matua Bruce, and he was awesome! |
Due to Global Warming (tm) it rained long and hard during the day! |

One of the highlights of the day is all the home baking! |
Michelle, Kate and Dom during the Powhiri. |

The tama performing Ka Mate! What was really nice is that once the boys had finished Ka Mate, Maru started to pat Coby and Henry on the back saying "well done boys"! |

The Tamariki at the end of the day...still smiling! |
