24 November 2007

We had wanted to hold a tea party during the summer at home to celebrate Kate's Naming Ceremony BUT due to one or two things, people being away and us not getting sorted soon enough, that never happened.

Instead we had a tea party in the middle of the winter at New Zealand house and while it may have been cold outside, the aroha inside ensured there was an atmosphere of love for Kate's naming ceremony.

Unfortunately Scott forgot his camera...BUT thankfully Simone, Dom, Aunty Karen and others turned up with their cameras to capture the days events for posterity! If you want to look at bigger format images of the photos taken by Simon, then click here to go to Flikr.

Terry is a pastor at the local church near home, it was he who never gave up on us having more children and in fact a friend told Michelle he prayed regularly for us. Scott has been threatening to go down to church on Sunday morning and announce loudly that Kate is his doing! :)
The tea party :)
Everyone doing the haka after the speeches!
Stan and Scott talking about something that is clearly important!

The day was also Roimata's birthday and the cake was for both Kate and Roimata.
Maru and Oliver, enjoying the chocolate fountain!
The product of an intensive 6 month training course, Scott on the vacuum cleaning after everything had finished!

The cake was made by a very good friend of Michelle's, Jill!
Talk about awesome!

Food fit for a king!
