Boxing Day was crisp and clear. The Christmas days began with an amazing frost and the sunshine spent all day trying to lift the thermometer above three degrees. Scott was keen to make use of his new rollerblades so he and Eimi made their way on skates and we went across to Greenwich where we took a boat to Westminster. We walked to Parliament and Trafalgar Square to see their enormous Christmas trees and were surprised to find the pools at Trafalgar were ice! They put their skates on again at Embankment and rolled back to Tower Bridge. London roads aren't very skater-friendly but we're having lessons and are becoming more able to cruise on these surfaces! |
