The major part of the VE Day Airshow was the WWII vintage aircraft from America, England and Russia. Here the Catalina goes through its paces. |
This Hurricane was found in Russia and completely rebuilt and this was the planes first airshow in England since being rebuilt. The owner has purposely not rated the aircraft for aerobatic flight so as to extend the life of the aircraft as much as possible.

Unfortunately due to the rain the Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight didn't make it to Duxford. However there were still three other Spitfires on display at the show! |
There were also plenty of other vintage aircraft on display in spite of the poor weather. From Top left to right, the Storch, P40, Dragonfly, Harvard, La7 and the P47 and the Mustang. |
