Even 200 years after his death Admiral Lord Nelson still exerts considerable influence over England. 2005 has been declared a year of celebration and on Friday the 15th of September Nelsons funeral procession from Greenwich to St Paul's was re-enacted by around 40 boats of all sizes. The Jubilant which carried his body also took part in the days events. This event was followed by the Trafalgar Great River Race on Saturday.
We had a grandstand view as the boats floated past our place on the bank of the Thames River!
