Our accommodation for the weekend was in a 19th century former stable block at Llanerch Vineyard just outside of Cardiff. Wales and wine don't sound like they should go together (it's not quite Marlborough!). It will be difficult to find somewhere as tranquil as the historic woodlands which became our home for the night. Peter was a great host, with great advice for amazing places to eat and the best transport routes. He was even available for some post game discussion in the morning. We took home samples of Cariad's award winning wine and have liberally been 'spreading the word'. We'll be back with our trainers to further explore the woodlands when the weather is warmer. |
