This is the result of 10 minutes of violent winds! Two ultra light aircraft destroyed. Fortunately the micro burst struck after the public day had finished, so the only people around were the volunteers and rescue crews.
The surreal calm after the storm! A double rainbow, which if you follow will take you not to a pot of gold, but to a couple destroyed micro lights!
This is how the RAAF tie their aircraft down! :) The USAAF C17 taxiing by before its flight handling display.
  Have jet pack, will fly!

The one that got away, this balloon held the air show up for half an hour as air traffic control waited patiently for the balloon to be blown away from the airfield before allowing the flight displays to continue.
Boeing 777 and C17
Dakota taxiing in.
Much ribbing for Scott from his Australian workmates as the RNZAF 757 arrives at the air show

Unfortunately due to the adverse weather conditions on the Friday night, Connie could only do taxi runs up and down the runway. While the plane couldn't fly, it still managed to woo everyone with its throaty radials pumping flames and smoke as it taxied past at full power!

The new and the old!
