Loch Ness
After a long drive from Mull to Invermoriston and after we had settled down in our lovely little bed and breakfast we decided to go for a stroll. Expecting to be able to walk down to the lake we were disappointed to find that you couldn't actually walk around the edge of Loch Ness because when the canals were built in the 18th century the level of the lake rose several meters and submerged most of the lake front! We did however find a really cool old bridge that was built to enable the British to control the Highlands (its an old Military bridge). |

The following day we decided to head down to the famous Urquhart Castle on the edge of Loch Ness. Unfortunately we didn't see any monsters while we strolled around the old castle grounds! |
