Christmas Holidays

Whetu arrived for the school holidays on Sunday the 17th of December and lucky Jo sent through her travel plans because we were all fired up to head out to Heathrow on Saturday! We would have got to Heathrow around 11am, which would have been about the time Whetu would have been pulling in to Los Angeles!

Anyway as we do things over the next month we will put photos here to let everyone know what we have been up to. Check back as this page will be updated often.

Monday 18th of December - Ice Skating at Canary Wharf

We decided to meet Scott after he finished work and go Ice Skating at 630pm. But when we got down there the tickets had sold out so we decided to come back at 830pm. It ended up being a good choice because the 730 session was also absolutely full but the session we went on wasn't so full. By the end of the session we had the ice to ourselves!
Whetu and Eimii thought it great fun to make snow balls and throw them at daddy!
The skating rink is set right in the middle of Canary Wharf and makes for a spectacular venue. Whetu was a natural, so much so Scott spent most of the evening trying to push her over as she skated past (because catching up OR skating faster than her just wasn't going to happen! :)
Friday 23 December - Tower Bridge
Eimii and Whetu spent Friday afternoon with Scott at his work (as it was a kids day as Scott found when he got there!). Afterwards everyone walked down to Tower Bridge to get the boat back to Canary Wharf where they were going to watch Narnia at the movies.

Sunday 25 December - Christmas Day

Christmas day finally arrives after the kids had taken themselves off to bed at 6pm the previous night (and actually managed to stay there!) so as to make it hurry up and arrive! :) The day itself wasn't all that bad with plenty of sunshine and blue skies (we think the temp actually got up to about 3 degrees too!). Later in the day we went for a stroll down towards Greenwich to work off lunch before returning home to play with our new toys.

Our fairy from NZ made it to christmas this year.
The dreaded Crazy Frog!
Its taken around 4 years for the trauma of the last time Eimi helped to wash the dishes to fade sufficiently for us to allow her back in to the kitchen! :)
