Europa Park, the Magic Kingdom

Scott and the girls were following the instructions on how to get to Europa Park and when they got off the train at Appsweier all that was there was the level crossing, tumbleweed and a lone german whistling the Ok Coral gunfight theme! There was absolutely nothing else around AND what's even worse is that they had gotten a later train than the one they were given instructions to get on (so had missed the bus they were supposed to connect with!).

But not all was lost as a passing taxi picked them up and a few Euros later dropped everyone at the park :)

Europa Park is Europes largest theme park and unusually one that many British have never heard of! English is most definately a foreign langauge here, which isnt a bad thing in reality.

2005 was the parks 30th anniversary and back in the 60's the "park team" travelled through America looking at their parks and picking and choosing the best things to bring back to Europe. Europa Park even has a mouse that looks suspiciously like Micky Mouse!

The Silver Star rises above the entrance to Europa Park.
Standing in front of the Eurosat ride, the reason its wrapped up is that it was the parks 30th anniversary in 2005.
The kids loved this sign :)
Osama Bin Whetu
You couldn't escape the fact it was christmas :)
Euro-Mir towers, one of the best rides at the park :)
The Euro Tower.
All over the park was dotted camp fires so you could sit down and warm yourself up. Quite handy given the last day at the park was around minus 10!
The Swiss Bob run! This was cool! Because there were so few people at the park we just kept on going round and round and round!
Eimii being given instructions in German on how to use the snow sled! :)
Eimii on the last of her 2 laps. After running in to the wall on her first lap she finally gave up and pulled off the track only to send one of the marshals running for his life as she narrowly missed him :)
Eimii and Whetu on the Pirate Ship! Once again, because there weren't a lot of people at the park the ship just went back and forth for ages :)
